This extended piece starts in a doomy D minor and progresses through melody after melody, ending with an uplifting A major section. At first the piece has the atmosphere of the darkest hour, just before the dawn, but by the end, the first light has started to show on the horizon. This is a challenging composition technically, and would suit advanced players.
