Collection: Parisiadis, Kostas
Kostas Parisiadis was born in Greece in 1982 and lives in Athens where he works as a guitarist, composer and music teacher.
He studied classical guitar with M. Kontaxakis and A. Muzurakis at the Contemporary Conservatory of Attica and Conservatoire Strasbourg respectively. Additionally, he studied jazz guitar and harmony with prof. Sami Amiris, G. Ntanis and G. Argyropoulos, while at the same time harmony, counterpoint, fugue and composition at the Municipal Conservatory of Korydallos.
He also has a bachelor and a master degree in historical and systematic musicology (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and a master degree in composition (Ionian University).
As a composer, he has explored plenty of musical languages that are reflected in his style, which is a unique synthesis of classical, jazz, rock, minimal and contemporary music. His composition portfolio contains works for symphonic orchestra and smaller ensembles as well as works for solo instruments, choir and chamber music. Many of them have been played and recorded by outstanding and inspiring performers.
His career as a guitar soloist has taken him to plenty of concert halls giving recitals, lectures and masterclasses, frequently in the last 15 years. He also participates in jazz, blues and rock groups with many gigs received on his track record.
He also has a master degree in material engineering.
