Suzie Auclair is a renowned Canadian composer and classical guitarist. She has received several international composition awards, such as:
•    1st Prize at the Baltic Festival International Classical Guitar Composition Competition, Lithuania, 2023.
•    Special mention at the prestigious International Classical Guitar Composition Competition Certamen Llobet 5th edition, Spain, 2024
•    3rd Prize in composition at the International Festival Drôme de Guitares, France, 2023. 
•    Bergmann Edition’s Special Prize at the renowned Aalborg International Composer Competition for Classical Guitar, Denmark, 2023
•    Silver medal in the Composition category at the Guitar Olympiad, Greece, 2023.
•    Honorary Gold medal in Paralympic at the Guitar Olympiad, Greece, 2023.
Her concert works are played by guitarists worldwide and some of them have been chosen as compulsory pieces in performance competitions. 
Suzie Auclair also received several grants from the Quebec Arts and Letters Council. She was honored at the National Assembly (Parliament) of Québec in 2014 where she received the Municipal Merit Award in the "Citizen" category for her exceptional contribution to the development of arts and culture.

She distinguished herself on the classical guitar at an early age by winning numerous competitions. She performed as a soloist with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra when she was only 13 years old. She holds a bachelor's degree in music (performance - classical guitar) and a bachelor's degree in music education.

Since her debut, Suzie Auclair has given numerous concerts and recitals throughout Quebec and also in France in solo, duo, small ensembles, as well as with the group Amalgáma. She is the producer and director of Amalgáma's 2005 album, Brisa de Verano, a warm and sunny album praised by Quebec music critics. 

Throughout her career, she has been heard on television and radio in Canada and in other countries, giving performances and interviews on both live and recorded programs.

From 1987 to 2021, Suzie Auclair taught guitar in various institutions, and also directed guitar orchestras and small ensembles. Since 2003, she has been the owner of the Suzie Auclair School of Music, which welcomes several hundred students each year and has a team of about twenty teachers.

Suffering from a very rare degenerative genetic disease of the connective tissues, Suzie Auclair had to reinvent her way of creating music, composing, and playing.
