PER DYBRO SØRENSEN, Danish composer born in 1953. He was educated as a guitarist, receiving Konzertdiplom from Musikakademie der Stadt Basel 1981. In the period from 1980 to 1990, he wrote a lot of music for the theatre, afterwards trying to develop his personal way of writing. These efforts resulted in 2012 in the composition “like a transient punctuation”, thus marking the start of a productive period. Per Dybro Sørensen will often use a variation technique, developed from the infinite row of Per Nørgård. He studied with Danish composer Peter Bruun 2012-14. In 2015 Per Dybro Sørensen reached the finale of Timo Korhonen International Composition Competition with the work "Machinery". He is a member of the Danish Composers Union. Activities as a guitar player: Per Dybro Sørensen has recorded several CD’s and he has given concerts in Europe and North America premiered many works by numerous composers. He is a member of Corona Guitar Kvartet and the Rosengard Guitar Trio. Other activities: Per Dybro Sørensen was a member of the artistic board of the Suså Festival from 2002 to 2012. He teaches guitar at the music school in Køge, Denmark.
