Jorge Ritter Navarro (Mexico City, 1957) is currently one of the most important composers of his generation. He studied composition and piano in The National Conservatory of Music of Mexico with Mario Lavista and Aurora Serratos respectively. His works include music for orchestra, concertos, chamber music and pieces for solo instruments. His compositions for guitar have been performed and recorded in the United States, Europe, Africa, Rusia, Japan and several Latin-American countries. His works portray a varied range of influences, from European classical and contemporary styles to jazz, blues, rock and Latin-American music.
