Stefano Moccetti is a Swiss guitarist, composer, and researcher based in Lugano. He graduated in classical guitar from the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana.

Since 2023, he has been developing artistic and research projects as part of his doctoral work at the International Guitar Research Centre, University of Surrey. His research focuses on the pre-Segovian guitar repertoire, improvisation, collaborative composition, and the creation of original works and idiomatic arrangements for the instrument.

As a performer, he is active as a soloist and chamber musician. In 2025, he performed the Guitar Concerto, Op. 99 by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco at the Auditorio Stelio Molo, RSI. He is also part of a long-standing duo with Slovak violinist Anton Jablokov, with whom he performs internationally, presenting programs based on original compositions and arrangements for violin and guitar. Alongside his performance career, he works as a guitar teacher at music schools in Ticino.
