Tosho Nilolaev

Tosho Dimitrov is a classical guitar player. He studied classical guitar from an early age and completed his higher education at the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, Bulgaria. After that, he continued his music education with a Master’s degree at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, Austria.

He studied under the renowned professors Wolfgang Jungwirth and Michael Langer. In addition, he enriched his musical perspective through over 20 masterclasses with distinguished players and teachers, including Alexander Swete, Hubert Käppel, Eliot Fisk, Joaquín Clerch, Gerhard Reichenbach, George Vassilev, Zoran Dukic, Nikita Koshkin, Thomas Offermann, and Costas Cotsiolis.

Alongside his performance career, he began teaching in 2008, first in Sofia and later in several Austrian music schools. He currently teaches at the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov” and Deutsche Schule Sofia. His students have won more than 200 prizes at national and international competitions. Tosho Dimitrov is one of the founders and also the Artistic Director of the Sofia Guitar Festival (2021-2023).

Meanwhile he explores fingerstyle guitar and is active in arranging and recording music.
