Maxim Berezovsky graduated from the Bologna Philharmonic Academy with honours (Mozart also studied there at the same time). He is the author of many choral works, as well as the first Ukrainian symphony, which was considered lost and was found in the archives of the Vatican by the American conductor Stephen Fox. After this event, Berezovsky immediately found himself among Russian composers and the author of the first Russian symphony, although before that his name and works were destroyed in every possible way and forgotten as a Ukrainian author. At the moment, Berezovsky's name is listed as a Russian composer in the Russian version of Wikipedia.
