Oleg Boyko is a classical guitarist and composer born in Mariupol. He studied at Chernihiv’s Music College and the National Musical Academy of Ukraine in Kiyv. He also did his postgraduate research in Italy and Germany.
As a soloist, he participated in many international festivals and competitions, including Warsaw (Poland), Berlin (Germany), Parma (Italy), Frankfurt (Germany), and others, and won some of them.
He also improved his skills with many prominent guitarists, such as Manuel Baruecco (USA), Stefano Cardi (Italy), Carlo Marchione (Italy), David Russel (Great Britain), Aniello Desiderio (Italy) and others.
Oleg has performed in Germany, France, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Luxembourg, and many other countries. His concert program includes baroque to modern music and his own compositions.
He is also the founder of an International guitar festival in his hometown of Chernihiv and a frequent jury member of regional and international guitar competitions.
Oleg has recorded seven solo CDs.
Oleg is also known as a composer. His works have been awarded at international composer competitions, including Lithuania 2021 and the Special Ddadario Prize of the Dutch Guitar Foundation. Many excellent musicians around the world perform his works.
