Collection: Ovesen, Hans
Hans Ovesen is a danish architect and classical guitarist. 1970-2007 he was an associate professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, with town- and landscape planning as a profession.
At the age of 14, he started to take jazz guitar lessons. But after a few months and after the sudden and unforgettable experience of hearing Andres Segovia, he instantly changed to the classical guitar.
He has written fiction and non-fiction books and is a reviewer of music and visual art for magazines and periodicals.
After retirement from the Academy, he now concentrates on playing the guitar, solo and ensembles, and painting and doing illustration work. As a painter, he exhibits in galleries, libraries, societies etc. As an illustrator, he makes illustrations for books and CD covers, including the beautiful series of portraits of the old masters used on the cover of many Bergmann Edition publications.
