Federico Dell'Agnese

Federico Dell'Agnese is an Italian composer. He studied piano under Paolo Musmeci and composition under Irlando Danieli and Franco Donatoni in Milan. His musical experience ranges from jazz and instrumental pop to electronic music using new technologies, contemporary minimalist music, and sacred music without ever abandoning the tonal system or formal neoclassicism.

He has composed works for piano, classical guitar, violoncello solo, vocal soloists, choir and orchestra, a cappella choir, double choir, percussion ensemble, viola da gamba, and ancient music ensemble. His compositions have been performed at the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestpiele, the Teatro alla Scala, the Mozart Saal in Hamburg, and other European theatres and institutions.

Various artists, including Helge Antoni, Duo Bonardi Zullo, Antonio Federico Mormina, I Percussionisti della Scala, and Giulio Tampalini, have participated in the recordings of his works, which can be found in the catalogues of leading international music libraries.

Besides his activity as a musician, he wrote three philosophical novels, winning literary prizes.
