Laura Verdugo del Rey

Laura Verdugo del Rey has a degree in Guitar from the Royal Superior Conservatory of Madrid, Postgraduate Degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​Master's Degree in Interpretation from the Hogeschool Zuid Conservatory of Maastricht (Holland) and Cultural Manager with a Master's Degree in Direction and Management of Cultural Industries from the European University Miguel de Cervantes.

She studied guitar with teachers as Demetrio Ballesteros, Àlex Garrobé and Carlo Marchione. And she has played concerts all over Europa, including performances as a soloist with different orchestras.

Laura Verdugo del Rey is also a member of the jury of prestigious international guitar competitions. In addition, she has made recordings for the Globo Media TV Production Company, is a dedicator of current compositions such as Rapsodia nº 4 by David del Puerto or Vivencias by Juan Erena and has made transcriptions of several Sonatas by D. Scarlatti and Suite II for cello by J.S. Bach.

She is awarded in various national and international competitions. Currently, she works as a guitar teacher at the Katarina Gurska Higher Musical Education Center in Madrid. In addition, she is the Director of the Madrid International Guitar Festival and a member of the Lilith Ensemble.
