Roberto Rubio Music Theorist and Composer from Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, Colombia) and Master in Orchestral Conducting from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
Founding member and harpsichord player in EXTEMPORE, a Colombian early music ensemble, with whom he has made performances in Colombia, Chile, Canada, Egypt and Lebanon, among others.
He has taken early music interpretation classes with Patrick Ayrton, Lars Ulrik Mortensen, John Holloway, Combattimento Consort of Amsterdam, The Purcell Quartet, Kuijken Trío, Juan Manuel Estévez and Elizabeth Wright.
As for orchestral conducting, he has learned from Helmuth Rilling, George Hurst, Julian Lombana and Guerassim Voronkov.
Apart from his role as Performer, Conductor and Composer, he works as a professor at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in musical theory, counterpoint and orchestration.
