Snow Poems is a four-part musical meditation on different aspects of snow. For performance, I suggest a listening attitude, allowing the notes to ring out fully and without a hurry. The score comprises only ”white notes”, which opens up several consonant passages and some mild dissonances. The movements should preferably be played attacca, with no pauses in between. The work is loosely based on a series of short poems I wrote some years ago. Here, the conditions of nature are reflected in the mind and consciousness - and vice versa.
