[message]‘Invention in D minor’ is a lively piece in dropped D tuning, written in two interweaving melodic voices. There are no triads in the piece, only two-part harmony. It has a baroque feel, with a great deal of movement and harmonic change. It is a satisfying piece with an uplifting ending, and would make a great concert encore.
