[message]Arranged for an instrument in C, in Bb or cello and guitar by Marek Tabisz.
In 1906, Amédée-Landély Hettich, a professor of voice at the Paris Conservatoire, set himself the goal of raising vocalise from a boring training tool to an independent work of art. Over thirty years, he convinced an impressive list of composers to write this type of song. Among them was Maurice Ravel, who composed the beautiful "Vocalise-Étude" (en forme de habanera). Today, this song is very popular in many instrumental versions (including transcription of Ravel himself for cello). In this book, the song is arranged for instruments in C (violin, flute etc.), in Bb (e.g. clarinet etc.) or cello with guitar accompaniment.
Guitar part - intermediate level, instrumental parts - intermediate to advanced level.
