About Élégie en do mineur
This composition was created in memory of my dear friend, Bernard Massé, who passed away in August 2023 after a courageous ten-year battle with a rare form of cancer, faced with remarkable fortitude and insight. This piece endeavours to convey the emotional journey he experienced throughout his illness. Regrettably, Bernard did not have the opportunity to hear this work, as his passing occurred before its completion. It is offered
as an attribute to him.

"Élégie en do mineur" won the Bergmann Edition's special prize at the 2023 Aalborg Composer Competition (Aalborg International Guitar Festival).
Included a concise analysis of the music by Martin Verreault, who premiered the piece in Quebec on February 23rd, 2025. (In English and French).
