Op. Posthume 120, D. 664
Transcription for guitar by Leonardo Palacios.
Franz Schubert composed his “Piano Sonata in A Major”, Opus Posthume 120, D. 664 most likely in 1819 or 1825 in Vienna. The sonata was published by an Austrian publisher Joseph Czerny about a year after the death of its composer. Soon after, the piece was given the name “Die Kleine”, comparing it to another one by Schubert in A Major (D. 959), composed in 1828.
