Michel Cardin, Le Canard de Gaspard, vol. 2
French-Canadian Children's Songs for Voice and Guitar.
Gaspard's duck
Songs for toddlers
Hélène Gosselin-Cardin was responsible for creating the concept of grouping these songs together. For many years, while running a daycare centre, she filled the world of her little friends in Moncton, Acadia, with music and sang all kinds of songs for them. Thus, it was with great experience and rare insight that she chose the tunes presented here. Her choice was meticulous. First, we find fourteen beautiful songs sung by Hélène Baillargeon in her children's
programs on Canadian television, which Hélène Gosselin loved to listen to as a child.
Then, knowing the need to renew the repertoire and offer new tunes to a young audience, she asked talented songwriters to compose new ones for her. The result is a wonderful set of forty varied songs, all harmonized and arranged by guitarist Michel Cardin, each with its own theme and atmosphere. Most have a melody that repeats itself, inviting listeners to sing along. You'll never tire of humming along with your friends!
The ideal way for daycare children from all over the world to learn their first French words!
Le canard de Gaspard can be heard in full on the usual Internet platforms, performed by Hélène Gosselin and Michel Cardin.
