"Leyendas del Norte" was born out of strong Spanish influences. Reminiscent of Andalusia and other Spanish regions, such as Castilla y León, the influences result in an agile, contrasting rhythmic, melodic and harmonic piece. It also has virtuoso passages. Altogether the composer has achieved a work of excellent quality.
