“The Holistics” is a three-movement solo guitar piece I composed with the vision of developing an expression between the archaic and the modern. Its esoteric nature embraces various cultural elements, aiming to create an aura that is both selective and inclusive in the context of composition.
The first movement, “Mirage,” embodies the mysteries and fertility of the desert—harsh, mythical, fluid, and enigmatic.
The second movement, “Lucid Veil,” is delicate, misty yet clear, introverted yet possessing its own world.
The third and final movement, “Syntharid,” explores the relationships between cultural elements and dynamic structures within a cohesive and relatively more repetitive form—fiery and full of surprises!
Looking at it as a whole, it is a collection of portraits that melt cultural contrasts into an Anatolian crucible, portraying a dreamlike journey that highlights the similarities between different traditions in a narrative context.
