These three studies are suited to guitarists of all levels of ability, whether as an introduction to a particular technique or as part of a warm up routine. They focus on the plucking hand and on the specific techniques needed to play a variety of styles of pieces. Working on these studies will improve technique and help the player to gain advanced control over their fingers, including control of dynamics and separating melody. The suggested fingering is to maximise the effectiveness of the study although in some cases other options are possible. For each study the plucking hand patterns used are included as exercises.
