Parliament Hill, on the edge of Hampstead Heath, is a place where the whole of central London is spread at your feet in a breathtaking view. I often walked there on a Spring or Summer afternoon, among joggers, dog-walkers and kite-flyers. This piece has a little nostalgia, but also sunlit optimism, a cinematic feel and something reminiscent of vintage London pop music.
