     You remember the snacks offered by your mother

          the distant slaps of a spectral father.

The song of a sea and the caress of the snow

     The taste of a naive kiss and the smell of young breasts

          The look of your children, the smile on their faces

               A bitter drink and the shadow of distant women.

The completed, the incomplete

     Loneliness written on the walls

          Forgotten inhabitants, ancient alleys

               and death lurking in its unannounced visits.

You stop to observe the light of the last landscape

     only six seconds separate you from the eternal

          Six seconds of a sleepy flight
