The present piece is the well constructed first movement from Sinfonia Op.22 No.2, that, in spite of great economy in material, is very expressive. An exemplary display of the classical sonata's rhetoric, where clear, contrasting statements are presented, and without digressions, developed through engaged discussion to a harmonious conclusion.
