Dedicatória by Alan Grundy

Three pieces for solo guitar. 

The three pieces presented here are dedicated to four individuals. Fado is dedicated to my student Rita and her mother Julieta – A Moment with Friends is for my student Louise and here close friend Tiffany – August Blue is for my first guitar teacher Louis Stewart (1944-2016). In composing Fado and A Moment with Friends I made use of cryptograms in order to create an initial musical seed from which the composition then grows. However, with the third piece, I deliberately chose a jazzy style as Louis was a World class jazz guitarist who sadly passed in August 2016, hence the title August Blue.
