MICROPIECES won the 1st Prize at the Aalborg International Guitar Composer Competition 2023.
The judges wrote about the piece: 
Dale Kavanagh: Clearly written. Nice atmosphere and contrast between aggressive and soft. Covers many emotions and interesting techniques, but not too much. Nice balance.
Colette Mourey: a lot of research, very guitaristic, very innovative, timbrally very rich, well detailed writing, fingered score
Gerald Garcia: I enjoyed these greatly. There is an implied structure even though the pieces are short. However, I would have welcomed a framework of some kind - they are a little bit like a minuscule taste of what a meal could be!
