She continued her guitar studies at the Music Conservatory in Maribor, the University of Ljubljana, the Rostock University of Music and Theatre, the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and University Mozarteum in Salzburg. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eInternationally acclaimed as a virtuoso performer, Plohl has received over 30 major awards including first prizes at Córdoba Guitar Festival, Ivor Mairants Award (London) and Seville International Guitar Competition. She wrote her first compositions for guitar and other instruments as a teenager, but subsequently focused mainly on her development as a concert guitarist. Initially, the Fugue had a Postlude attached, but after playing it in concerts, it turned out it worked much better as a one-movement piece - besides its short duration. The Fugue has a certain folkloric flair, which comes from using the mellow aeolian mode and irregular meters (5\/8, 7\/8, etc.).
