The music is melancholic and I consider it to be a sort of lamentation of the fact that so many women throughout history have lived in the shadows of their famous husbands, raising children and caring for the household, managing so many things that never gain much attention.\u003cbr\u003eBasically, it is set in the key of G-minor, but this tonality is very ambiguous and uncertain. It starts in a meditative mood that is suddenly interrupted by the very fluid and quite dramatic middle section, where some melodic fragments are intertwined with spots of rhythmic frenzy.
