He holds a master's degree from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, and since 2025 has lectured in jazz guitar at the ZHDK, University of the Arts, Zürich, Switzerland.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMikkel will release his first album on a classical label when his solo Bach album debuts on esteemed OUR Recordings in 2027.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn 2025, he was nominated “Musician of the Year” at the \"Danish Music Awards Jazz,” and his music has received worldwide praise from music media publications such as Rolling Stone magazine and Downbeat. His album Balcony Lullabies was selected as “Best Jazz Album of the Year, 2020” by the UK newspaper Morning Star, and Mikkel’s album Faroe was nominated for the prequalification round of the 2018 Grammy Awards in the category “Best Instrumental Jazz Album”.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMikkel's electric guitar arrangements of J.S.
