He studied piano (Antoine Reboulot) and composition (André Prévost and Serge Garant) at the Université de Montréal where he obtained a BA. Later studies with Bruce Mather at McGill University led to an MA in Composition. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter his music studies, he taught music for many years in the public school system, including at École des Cèdres, a music-focused elementary school. This environment allowed him to apply his compositional training extensively. Now retired from teaching, he has returned to concert composition.
